“We are extremely excited about the recent high ratings earned by some of our longtime winery partners. Congratulations to Gerard Bertrand, PradoRey, Alma Carraovejas, and Josetta Saffirio! We look forward to celebrating your continued success in the U.S. market!”

Ranked #1 Among More Than 25,000 Wines Reviewed
For its 2026 Top 100 Best Buys list, Wine Enthusiast selected its favorite bottles priced at $20 or less after its reviewers tasted more than 25,000 wines throughout the year.
The publication conducts its Buying Guide tastings blind, meaning reviewers do not know the producer or retail price of a wine when evaluating it. Wines are scored on a 100-point scale based on their quality and characteristics.
The top-ranked Gérard Bertrand wine comes from Côtes du Roussillon Villages Tautavel in southern France and is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan.
In his full review, Wine Enthusiast’s Matt Kettmann wrote: “Bold and jammy aromas of blackberry and licorice meet with dynamic hints of incense and palo santo on the dynamic nose of this blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan. The palate pairs more of that incense spice with roasted black plum and blackberry flavors, proving rich and long-lasting.”
The 94-point rating places the wine in Wine Enthusiast’s “Superb” category, reserved for wines scoring between 94 and 97 points.
More USA Wine West Wines Earn High Ratings
Several other USA Wine West clients received strong ratings in Wine Enthusiast’s recent Buying Guide reviews.
Spanish winery Pradorey received 95 points and an Editor’s Choice designation for its 2018 El Buen Alfarero Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero. Its 2022 Élite Tempranillo, also from Ribera del Duero, earned 94 points.
Aiurri’s 2022 Red Blend from Rioja received 94 points and an Editor’s Choice designation. Aiurri is the Rioja Alavesa wine project from Alma Carraovejas, based in the village of Leza in northern Spain.
Italian producer Josetta Saffirio earned 93 points and a Cellar Selection designation for its 2021 del Comune di Monforte Nebbiolo from Barolo.
Wine Enthusiast uses its Editor’s Choice designation to recognize wines with exceptional quality or characteristics deserving special attention. Cellar Selection identifies wines that are especially collectible or may benefit from additional aging.
