01. What is a COLA and when do you need one?
A Certificate of Label Approval (COLA) is required by the TTB for most alcoholic beverages sold in the U.S. It ensures your label complies with federal laws.
02. When is a TTB formula approval required?
Formula approval is needed before label approval for many flavored, infused, or non-traditional products (like RTDs and FMBs). Wine and spirits with additives often fall under this as well.
03. What types of products does MHW’s compliance team assist with?
We support all beverage alcohol categories (wine, spirits, beer, cider, ready-to-drinks cocktails, and flavored malt beverages).
