Origins of Excellence
MHW’s licenses were created under the ownership of Monsieur Henri Wines.
Establishing Market Presence
The Soviet Union approved for the United States to export Pepsi concentrate to them in exchange for Pepsi Co importing Stolichnaya Vodka. PepsiCo purchased Monsieur Henri Wines in order to import Stolichnaya under the compliance standards of the Three-Tier System. Stolichnaya became the first legally imported vodka.
Expanding Capabilities
The Soviet Union disbanded, and trade opened with the US. PepsiCo no longer had a need for Monsieur Henri Wines, so they sold the rights to Stolichnaya to the company now known as Diageo, and the rights to Monsieur Henri Wines to Sazerac.
Diversification of Offerings
John Beaudette (former CFO of Monsieur Henri Wines) and two other former Pepsi executives purchased the federal and state licenses from PepsiCo and started MHW to facilitate importation and distribution. They named the company MHW to pay homage to Monsieur Henri Wines, where they got their start.
Innovation and Brand Development
MHW added Licensing Services to their rolodex of offerings.
EU Market Expansion
MHW launched their EU Import Services through partnering with a warehouse facility in The Netherlands.
DISCUS
MHW received the invitation to serve on The Board of The Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS) and accepted.
Legal
The Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reform Act passed in the US.
Business Expansion
MHW acquired USA Wine West and USA Wine Imports, expanding our capabilities and service level.
Launch of BrandArc
The BrandArc program was introduced, providing a structured path from concept to commercialization for beverage brands.
